About Me
I came to massage therapy through medicine. My original path was toward becoming a physician — I wanted to help people heal. Massage became my first real connection to that dream: the ability to place my hands on someone and feel what they came to see me for. That palpation skill — sensing inside the tissue — became my foundation and my obsession. I graduated from The Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy in 1996 — the original independent school in King of Prussia, since absorbed into the Cortiva Institute chain — and have been in practice ever since.
I launched Hands on Healing Concepts, studied Alternative Medicine at West Chester University, and in October 2001 opened Optimal Massage — growing it into a 24-person practice of massage therapists, Reiki practitioners, Yoga and Tai Chi instructors. I completed advanced certification in Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy, Clinical Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Sports Massage, and Hydrotherapy, and traveled and taught with my mentor Dr. Joe Muscolino across the US and to Indonesia. Outside the treatment room I'm a self-taught artist — watercolors, oils, woodworking. I design planted aquascapes and build bioactive terrariums. Everything I do with my hands comes back to the same instinct: creating environments where living things thrive. I lead by example, not by authority. I prefer to be the light, not in it. Beyond the Sequence Pro exists to illuminate your path.
